Photography: Every Step A Memory

Welcome to my Photography Page.  I am just finally updating this with my newest Photography Collection.  Please take a second to read and feel free to scroll through and take a look at my adventures.  If you would like to see more of my adventures and landscapes hop over to my "Adventures Page" (still a work in progress).

For the past few years I have unknowingly been working on photography project.  About a year ago I became aware of an idea I had but did not have it all figured out.  This past summer with all my adventures I was on, the idea really began to take shape, but it was still an "Untitled" collection.  Recently I have begun to put it all together and have finally been able to put a title to my inspiration.  I am no fine art photographer and admittedly most of these photos have been taken from my IPhone or Underwater camera.  However, I have been inspired to document my adventures from my own personal point-of-view.

The name of my collection is "Every Step A Memory" {check the full collection out on Instagram....#everystepamemory} and it started because I wanted to document all the places I had been, but in a unique way.  I loved the idea of photographing where my feet were going and what I was doing, and what better way than to do so from my very own perspective.  However this has turned into so much more for me, as we have gotten news that we will be moving from the East Coast and Florida Panhandle (the only home I have ever known and loved) to go farther North than I ever expected....Alaska.  I am in for an adventure and culture shock.  I am on a mission to enjoy everyday and every experience that I can, and make the most out of every opportunity.  I live in a beautiful place, that my heart will dearly miss, but I am also about to go on a journey that few get to experience, and I am truly grateful for that opportunity.

Every Step A Memory is a reminder that every step we take is a new opportunity to make a memory.  To live in the moment and find something new, exciting and beautiful there.  I have always been inspired by the beauty around me, and I fell in love with photography for the ability to show the beauty I see, the way I see it, with others.  So many get caught up in their daily lives that we miss what is right in front of us, however I am more often accused of viewing the world through a camera lenses instead of with my own eyes...so even I must find a balance.  I am going to continue to add to this collection and before long these beautiful white beaches will be replaced with white snow.  But its all part of our life experience.
